When you join LOESS you will get:

• The LOESS Bulletin which is the official publication of the Lincoln Orbit Earth Science Society. It is sent monthly to each member/family unit (B/W hard copy or color Email version), It covers the calendar of events for the club, meeting minutes and officer messages, hobby related news, and interesting articles, some submitted by members. A special page for juniors is included. The cost of publication of covered by membership dues.

• Monthly meetings with live speakers or DVD programs
• Field trips to quarries and mines to collect various rocks, minerals, and fossils.
• Workshops, including lapidary, wire wrapping, stained glass, and more
• Bus trips
• Annual Holiday Party and Best Finds Contest
• Annual Picnic and Geode Cracking Party
• Ability to help at the large Gem, Mineral, and Fossil show held at the Fairgrounds every October
